A limited number of programs are being offered at this time to self-organized groups wherein participants already know one another and are in the same social circles. We are monitoring and following best practice COVID-19 guidelines, not sharing any food or drink and washing our hands regularly. Please contact Corey directly to inquire about custom programming.
At Paleo Play, we focus on Nature Observation, Wilderness Awareness, and Bushcraft Skills.
In order to meet those basic objectives it is required that:
a) We always stay together as a group (also a safety issue).
b) We follow an agreed upon daily schedule
c) The only books we bring with us are nature field guides
To follow is the general outline of our schedule to help guide our days --->
AGES 6-9 Years:
- Welcoming and Gratitude
- Play Icebreaker or Energy Burner Games in the Parking Lot
- Explore a different route to our Main Camp each session.
- Introduce a skill and a story at Camp. Possibly collect the required material.
- Free time and snack and/or lunch
- Do another game or challenge.
- Complete our project for the day.
- Clean up Camp and pack our personal gear.
- Have an ending discussion/closing remarks/ Shout Outs/ Appreciations
- Walk back to parking lot TOGETHER.
AGES 10-14yrs:
- Welcoming and Gratitude
- Fire Challenge in the Parking Lot
- Hike a different route each day to a New Satellite Camp
- Play a game and build a Satellite Camp at a new location each time.
- Move to main camp for Lunch ( half hour lunch)
- Do a bushcraft skill together as a group
- Free time ( half an hour or less)
- Play another game or do another challenge TOGETHER
- Clean up Camp and pack our personal gear.
- Have an ending discussion/closing remarks/ Shout Outs/ Appreciations
- Walk back to parking lot TOGETHER.
